A medal, because the point was never the software.
Yuvo exists so games actually happen. Our mark is the thing you get when one does.
One shape, three readings
None of them fight each other, and that is what makes it ours. A plain medal is a stock icon anyone can use. A medal that is also our initial is not.
Built to survive being small
Most of the time you will meet this mark at 16 pixels, in a browser tab or on a home screen. It is drawn as solid mass with a single knockout, so it thins out gracefully instead of breaking.
Colour
Two greens doing two different jobs. Keeping them separate is what stops the interface shouting at you.
Navigation, dark surfaces, the mark itself. Pine is structure. It never means anything on its own.
A slot is open. A booking is confirmed. LED earns attention, so it is used sparingly and as a fill only — never as text on white, where it fails contrast at 1.78:1.
Body copy and headings. Near-black with a green bias so it sits with the rest of the palette instead of against it.
Using the mark
- Do: Give the mark clear space on all four sides equal to the width of its disc.
- Do: Use the pine mark on light surfaces and the LED mark on pine or photography.
- Do: Let the star knock through to whatever is behind it. That is how it is built.
- Do not: Do not put the mark inside a box, ring or badge. It already has its own shape.
- Do not: Do not recolour it, add a gradient, or outline it.
- Do not: Do not stretch it. The proportions carry the medal reading; distorted, it stops being one.
