Six fixes we made to the Yuvo Slots Available Poster Maker

A UX review of the Yuvo Slots Available Poster Maker found no blockers and six fixes, from period chips to BOOK NOW. All six shipped before launch.

A UX review of the Yuvo Slots Available Poster Maker on 24 October 2026 found no blocker and six fixes worth making before launch. They cover the period chips, an empty poster, the saved line, the BOOK NOW button, tap sizes and price grouping. All six are now in the tool.

How did we review the poster maker?

We walked the tool the way an owner would use it. The review used a clean browser profile, first at an Android phone size of 375 by 812 pixels and then on desktop. It went through picking a sport, typing a ground name, adding two slots, adding a duplicate slot, switching between the Classic and Stadium styles, and the 4:5 and 9:16 sizes.

The core path worked from start to finish. The poster rendered correctly, the browser console showed no errors and the page did not scroll sideways. Every input had a linked label, and the duplicate slot guard answered "That slot is already on the poster."

Ten sports, five colours, three styles and two sizes all rendered. The review still found six things worth fixing, and none of them was a blocker.

What went wrong with the period chips?

A period chip is one of the named slots Morning, Afternoon, Day-Night and Night. Tapping Night printed the word NIGHT on the poster while the time field still showed 7:00 PM, so the time the owner typed was silently ignored. A player reading TODAY NIGHT cannot tell when the slot starts.

The fix is on the field. When a period chip is on, the time field it would ignore greys out, and tapping the chip again switches it off. The poster prints the name of the period instead of the clock time, and the screen now shows which of the two you are choosing.

You can see it yourself. Open the tool, add a slot, tap Night and watch the time field.

Why does an empty poster get refused?

Share on WhatsApp and Download used to work with no slots and no ground name, and the poster then read YOUR GROUND. Now both refuse an empty poster and say what is missing. The messages read "Add at least one slot first." and "Add your ground's name first."

Naming the missing piece tells the owner which field to fix. Nobody is left guessing whether a share failed or the design broke.

A smaller fix sits next to it. The line "Saved on this phone" used to show on a first visit, before anything was typed. It now appears only after the first edit, so it describes something that has actually happened.

Why does BOOK NOW only print when there is a way to book?

The Stadium style printed a BOOK NOW pill even when no phone number or link had been added, which made it a call to action that goes nowhere. Now BOOK NOW prints on a poster only when a phone number or a QR code is behind it.

The rule holds on all three poster surfaces: the free tool, the owner dashboard poster and the share card. The dashboard poster belongs to Yuvo for Venues, the owner software, which is in beta. It builds today's poster from the open slots on the owner's calendar.

A reader who sees BOOK NOW can follow it somewhere. A poster without a way to book simply does not promise one.

What changed in tap sizes and prices, and what is still open?

The remove slot button was 32 by 32 pixels, and the sport chips, style chips and colour swatches were 40 pixels tall. The minimum for a tap target is 44 pixels, so every tap target in the tool is now at least that size.

The slot chip said ₹1500 while the poster printed ₹1,500. The chip now prints prices with the same Indian digit grouping as the poster, so what you type matches what gets shared.

Three items from the same review were held back for a rendered preview, because they change layout and look rather than behaviour. On a phone the preview sits below the whole form, the sticky header lets page text show through it, and the body text is 14 pixels with three helper lines at 12. They are still open.
